Description

The chicken nugget was invented in the 1950s by Robert C. Baker, a food science professor at Cornell University, and published as unpatented academic work. Dr. Baker's innovations made it possible to form chicken nuggets in any shape. McDonald's is often falsely credited with the invention of the chicken nugget. However, its recipe for Chicken McNuggets was created in 1979 and the product was sold beginning in 1980.

Ingredients:
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 cups flour
  • Canola oil

Directions

Cut chicken into nugget-size bites and put in a medium bowl. Add salad dressing and let it marinate about 15 minutes. Add flour until chicken is completely coated. Fry nuggets in a skillet with a small amount of canola oil, about 4 minutes per side. Serve with rice, peas and carrots, and a salad.

All of us love chicken nuggets. I prefer to make them myself rather than buy them from McDonalds.
